Parge Nagar DP Road – From Reservation to Reality

The long-pending DP Road issue at Parge Nagar had been a major concern for residents of Kondhwa–Kausar Baugh due to poor connectivity, daily inconvenience, and safety challenges. Although the road land was already officially reserved by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the project remained stalled for a long time without execution.

Recognizing the importance of this road for the local community, Sameer Shafi Pathan, as President of Nagrik Adhikar Manch, formally raised the issue with the PMC and began persistent follow-up with the concerned authorities. Over several months, multiple request letters, representations, and meetings were undertaken to ensure that the matter received due attention and moved from paperwork to action.

Through continuous coordination, determination, and citizen representation, the long-awaited project was finally approved and completed. The Parge Nagar DP Road was inaugurated by Sameer Shafi Pathan, marking a significant milestone for local development.

The opening of the road was met with joy and celebration among residents of Kondhwa–Kausar Baugh and Parge Nagar. On the inauguration day, citizens came together to celebrate with sweets, crackers, and a strong sense of achievement. Sameer Shafi Pathan addressed the gathering with a motivational speech, emphasizing unity, persistence, and the power of collective civic action.

This achievement stands as a testament to follow-through leadership — proving that when issues are pursued with commitment, even long-pending civic demands can be transformed into reality.
